Understanding the Spiritual Technology of Dreams: A Powerful Tool for Divine Communication

“For God may speak in one way or in another, yet man does not perceive it. In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls upon men, while slumbering on their beds, then He opens the ears of men and seals their instruction. In order to turn man from his deed, and conceal pride from man, He keeps back his soul from the Pit, and his life from perishing by the sword.” – Job 33:14-18

One of the most powerful spiritual technologies in our world is the “hidden power of dreams.” Dreams are so universal to the human experience, yet few people truly understand them, let alone how to interpret them. What is abundantly clear is that dreams are a language of the spirit world. Based upon Job 33:14-18, God uses dreams as a medium to communicate to men and women what He cannot get through to them while they are wide awake. The expression “For God may speak in one way or in another, yet man does not perceive it” forms the main reason why God uses dreams a lot to intercept men from driving head-on into Satan’s many traps. The expression carries the message that while men are wide awake, God is frantically communicating His will to them, even though they are completely oblivious or hard of hearing. Being our loving Heavenly Father, God enters our dreams in one final attempt to reach us before disaster strikes or before we miss our time of divine visitation.

The expression “In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls upon men, while slumbering on their beds,” takes us further into the wonderful world of dreams. It lets us know that a “Dream” is actually a “vision of the night.” There is a human condition that must be met for God to trigger this dimension, “deep sleep must fall upon men while they slumber (sleep) on their beds.” So, sleep is the trigger that opens the supernatural door into the amazing world of dreams. Immediately after this realm opens, Job 33:16-18 tells us in immaculate detail what happens next, namely:

• Then He opens the ears of men
• Seals their instruction
• In order to turn man from his deed
• Conceal pride from man
• He keeps back his soul from the Pit
• Keeps his life from perishing by the sword

You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to discern or deduce from the above list that dreams are very powerful if God uses them to actualize everything contained in the list above.
