7 DROPS OF BLOOD

[youtube v=”jvk9Wv2Q5ek”]

One of the main reasons the Church has lost the Supernatural is the lack of reverence for the Blood of Jesus! Francis Myles

Only ask, and I will give you the nations as your inheritance, the whole earth as your possession. Psalm 2:8

Then you will tell him, ‘This is what the Lord says: Israel is my firstborn son. 23 I commanded you, “Let my son go, so he can worship me.” But since you have refused, I will now kill your firstborn son!’” Exodus 4:22 (NLT)

I am convinced that much of the powerlessness in the global Body of Christ is due to the lack of reverence for the precious Blood of Jesus! The unfortunate rise of the user-friendly gospel and the message of “extreme grace” has cheapened the importance of the blood of Jesus and yet without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sins. In this week’s blog I want to share with you, 7 ways Jesus shed His blood for us and its enduring prophetic significance to all of humanity. Below are the 7 places where Jesus shed His Blood on our behalf and its significance in the areas of our life where we need victory over the enemy.

1) The Sweating of Blood (In the garden of Gethsemane)

Luke 22:40-44 NKJV When He came to the place, He said to them, “Pray that you may not enter into temptation.” And He was withdrawn from them about a stone’s throw, and He knelt down and prayed, saying, “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.” Then an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him.  And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground. This signifies that Jesus Won back our “Willpower” to choose God’s perfect will and to also resist any form of temptation. In the Garden of Eden the first Adam lost his Kingdom ambassadorship because he failed to bend his will to the will of God.

2) The shedding of blood from the stripes on Jesus back and from the whipping post.

John 19:1  So then Pilate took Jesus and scourged Him.

Isa 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. This signifies that Jesus has won back our Health. His body was broken so ours could be made whole. This is why healing from any disease is possible for New Testament believers. Receive your healing today!

3) He was bruised and suffered Internal bleeding from being beaten.

Isa 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: This signifies that Jesus won back our right standing with God & delivered us from our iniquities. Iniquity is based upon generational sin, so its usually inherited from our forefathers.

4) The shedding of blood when receiving the Crown of Thorns upon his head.

John 19:2 And the soldiers twisted a crown of thorns and put it on His head, and they put on Him a purple robe. This signifies that Jesus has won back our Peace of mind and that we are free of every torment. The enemy can no longer torment our minds and rob us of our peace. I dare you to claim this promise Now!

5) The blood that was shed through Jesus’ Pierced Hands.

Matt 27:35 Then they crucified Him, and divided His garments, casting lots, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet: “They divided My garments among them, And for My clothing they cast lots.” (It was custom in those days to crucify people by nailing their hands & feet to the cross). This signifies that Jesus won back our prosperity so that everything we put our hands to, shall prosper. In the world of business this is known as having the Midas touch. The blood of Jesus guaranteed us prosperity not poverty.

6) The blood that was shed through Jesus’ Pierced Feet.

Gen 1:26 says “Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

Luke 10:19 says “Behold, I give to you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the authority of the enemy. And nothing shall by any means hurt you.”  This signifies that Jesus won back our dominion & authority. The scripture is full of promises that are directly connected to our foot as a symbol of power and authority.

7) The blood that was shed through the spear in Jesus side.

John 19:34 “But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out.” The fact that blood & water flowed from his side symbolizes the fact that Jesus died from a broken heart, the intensity and anguish of the weight and burden of all of our sins that He took on Himself and our continual betrayal against Him was to much to bear & ultimately caused His Heart to stop beating. This signifies that Jesus won back our Joy and healed us of our broken Hearts. I have come across to many Christians who are nursing broken hearts, such that they have been derailed from destiny.

It is my sincere prayer that reading this article will excite inside you the desire to experience the awesome, wonder-working power of Jesus’ blood.

Wow. This confirms something that I have long suspected but never heard preached. There are so often parallels between the instructions to the Levitical priests and the new testament scriptures.
I have to differ on one point however. The bruises that Jesus received did not cause any blood to be shed.
Shedding implies separation of one thing from another. As I see it, the seven instances of the shedding of Jesus’ blood are as follows:
    1. Sweating blood on the mount of Olives.
    2. From his back at the whipping post.
    3. From the crown of thorns on his head.
    4. From his nail-pierced hands.
    5. From his nail-pierced feet.
    6. From the spear wound in his side.
    7. From his face. Scripture tells us that (Isaiah 50:6) “I gave my back to the smiters and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair….” having his beard ripped off his face would have undoubtedly caused bleeding. Isaiah 52:14 tells us that “his visage was so marred more than any man” his nose was probably bleeding as well. Regardless, his blood was certainly flowing from his face.
If he was bleeding internally, this blood would have been shed from the spear wound.
    Just my two cents worth.
This is a wonderful teaching on the blood and it’s completeness and atoning power for the sins of mankind. As you point out, the lack of teaching on the subject is one of the prime reasons for the wish-washy state of the body of Christ today. It reminds me of the old hymn ” Would you be free from the burden of sin? There’s power in the Blood! Power in the Blood !”
Thank you for this wonderful lesson.
