Scripture reveals that “money” becomes “blood money” whenever it is “connected” to violence, injustice, unrighteous gain, or spiritual oppression. As a matter of fact, every man-made currency on earth, including the great American dollar, is stained with the “proverbial blood of Abel.” This is an immutable fact that I will prove beyond a reasonable doubt from both a spiritual and geopolitical perspective in the pages to follow.
In Jewish Rabbinic thought, money or wealth is never neutral. The Hebrew word for blood (דָּם — dam) is closely connected to the word for money (דָּמִים — damim), implying that money has “life-power” linked to human activity, for good or evil. In Leviticus 17:11, Scripture states that “the life of all flesh is in the blood (dam).” Rabbinic tradition often points out that damim (money) can carry spiritual weight just like blood. This is the idea behind the popular expression, “I worked for this money (damim), with my blood (dam) and sweat.”
It is no wonder that witches, wizards and those in the occult demand blood oaths and sacrifices in all their rituals. Regrettably, it is not only members of the occult who demand “blood oaths” before they can count you among their ranks. These “blood oaths” are standard practice if you join a neighborhood gang, the Mafia or become a trusted member of a drug Cartel. Christian scholars likewise note that Jesus consistently taught that money (wealth) was either under the rule of Mammon, a malicious spiritual principality, or under the rule of God.

“Blood money is money generated from the shedding of innocent blood over spiritual, economic and political reasons, that benefits the assailant.” This means, therefore, that the “Blood of Abel” becomes an ancient symbol and metaphor for “financial gains” obtained at the cost of another person’s life.
When Cain murders Abel, God’s presence descends onto the earth, bringing the Court of heaven with Him. During Cain’s trial, God asked, “Where is Abel, your brother?” and then said something very intriguing:
“The voice of your brother’s blood (dam) cries out to Me from the ground.” — Genesis 4:10
Here, then, begins the ancient mystery of blood money. Early Jewish interpretation (Midrash Rabbah on Genesis 22:13) teaches that Abel’s blood represents not only his life but also the lives of his descendants that were never born and the economic opportunities that were forfeited, as a result. Abel’s blood became a living testimony of spiritual and economic injustice. This is why Cain’s curse after God judged him involved the ground (the source of his economic strength) and his labor:
“When you till the ground, it shall no longer yield to you its strength.” — Genesis 4:12
The scripture, Genesis 4:12, serves as the root and origin of the idea of blood money: illicit gain always carries a curse, both for individuals and nations. Money gained through injustice weakens the soul and disconnects a person from the blessing of God. From the Sod (Hebrew mystical) perspective, Cain becomes the first symbol of profits obtained through fallen spiritual influence—money produced through unrighteousness, sponsored by demonic power and technology.
